Some people think that smartphone is increasingly
become an approach to killing time during mental downtime and gradually take
the place of our minds wandering, daydreaming, which is a source of aspiration
of creativity. This seems reasonable because too much time spent on mobile
devices will inevitably demotivate user’s enthusiasm for learning. In addition,
generally speaking, we surf on the Internet just for fun rather than pick up usable
resources. Furthermore, mental downtime kindles our imagination to think deeply
and arouse some creative ideas hidden in subconscious. In other words, unlocking
cellphone is the starting of stifling creativity.
On the other hand, we can not recognize smartphone
is a powerful tool, which brings us a convenient and comfortable life. First,
we can widen horizons by abundant resources in it and as far as I am concerned,
it has become a window to learn about this constant changing world. Second, it enables
people get more informative knowledge than before. When you surf on the
Internet, especially in some technology forums, it is a friction process of different
minds, like brainstorm in a group, which always stimulate sparks for tough
task. Last but not least, we need refresh ourselves in sressful daily life; obviously, smartphone is a
good choice for its portable and powerful features.
For the reasons mentioned above, I believe its
advantages outweigh its disadvantages. Actually, it depends on user how to take
advantage of it.
You make a good point-- perhaps what we do on our smartphone in and of itself boosts creativity (sharing ideas with people on forums, etc.). However, what do you think about the people who were simply holding their smartphone "at the ready," yet not really doing anything on them?

However, more and more people use their smartphones just for fun or just spend their bore time. what do you think about that? Do you still believe its advantages outweigh its disadvantages?
ReplyDeleteyes! I am aways excited when some high-tec products come out, especially some featured products having great breakthrough in some field. I know every coin has two sides, but I think what we are supposed to do is how to lead people to use them correctly and efficiently rather than thoroughly deny their function in society. Why not put our attention on its benefits, such 3G, 4G communication technology, Apple pay etc., which are outstanding consumption concept or advanced and popular technology currently, based on cellphone platform.
